"We can build a Beautiful City ...a city of angels - we can build a city of 'woman'".

Lila Cooper (She/They) a DMV-based Queer Performer, Activist and Teaching Artist - introduced this year's Fete - captivating her audience with her version of Godspell's Beautiful City.

For Lila, the arts are a vessel that allow us to reflect on, escape from, and learn about everyday life.  She hopes that through collective action, we can work together to create a kinder and more inclusive world.
