Denise Chazin

Board Member

Denise S. Chazin enjoyed volunteering in various settings for over two decades while raising her family. As a new mother of twins, Denise served for six years on the board of Nashoba Valley Mothers of Multiples, a Massachusetts chapter of the National Mothers of Twins Association. As Support Co-Chairperson, she nearly tripled membership, created and facilitated several monthly support groups while she held the position of Chapter Co-President. After moving to New Hampshire and volunteering with local elementary school PTA, Denise extended her focus toward community-based non-profit agencies. To that end, Denise and six other women founded a philanthropic “Women’s Giving Circle” for the purpose of providing hands-on assistance and financial support to teen parents and young families within southern New Hampshire. Denise also volunteered with Home Health and Hospice Care in Merrimack, NH; she provided quiet bedside presence and vigil sitting for actively dying patients, as well as bereavement support to grieving individuals. In 2012 Denise earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University; she enjoyed working as a per-diem Social Worker/Case Manager at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH until her family relocated the following year to the Bay Area in California where she participated in Together We Rise and became a Bikkur Cholim Volunteer, providing friendly visits to hospitalized Jewish patients in need of spiritual and end-of-life support.
